Social Media, Managing the Beast: What Tools Do You Use?

[tweetmeme source=”helpmerhonda11″ only_single=false]

I don’t know about you, but I fire up the tweetdeck, check out a few blogs I like, and next thing you know, I’ve surfed and tweeted for hours and haven’t gotten a stitch of work done.  Social networking is great in so many ways, but unless I give up on sleep, there is just not enough time to keep up with it all.

I’d love to know what other people do to manage the social media beast…tools like Tweetdeck, RSS feeds, Google Alerts or Ping, or any work habits that help you bring some discipline to the process…any and all ideas welcome!  I will compile a list here, and then post it.
