This fall, I'm excited to be one of the artists selected to participate in Plein Air Litchfield 2025, a local arts event that brings 33 artists to town for six days of painting in our most scenic locations.

I began painting en plein air in 2019, when a group organized by CT artist Dean Fisher traveled to France to paint in the Dordogne. I really enjoyed getting out of the studio, and recording my experience in real time. The rest, as they say, is history!

Later this month, I'm especially excited to meet the other participants. Many are artists whose work I have followed in social media for years and have long admired. It will be exciting to see how this diverse and talented group brings the beauty of Litchfield, CT to life on canvas.

The highlight of the event is the Gala & Art Sale on Saturday, October 4th in Litchfield, where freshly painted works will be unveiled and available for purchase. Ticket proceeds support local arts programs and ensure that Plein Air Litchfield continues to grow year after year.

If you are local, come watch artists at work, chat about their process, and experience the vibrant energy of a thriving arts community. Don’t miss this chance to celebrate the arts in our own backyard! For event details, gala tickets, and volunteer opportunities, visit: www.pleinairlitchfield.com.
